Mmmmmmmmmm what to say...

Nothing much.
Have done a bit of scrapping.
Been out every day this week so feeling very tired and uninspired. The girls have both been a bit unsettled at night too.
Jamie got that tender in - one minute late LOL. I thought it was going to be a no go. So last minute that boy.
Got some more photos of the girls done this week with Yvonne. Will post them later.
Thats all - have a bad head and neck and need to decide on something for tea - who can be bothered.

Before I get in trouble... :)

Another LO for this week. Really like those pp's now. Have enough to do some more and might do a BOM page.

So what's been happening...

we had a bit of a stress this morning with all the bills and GST we need to pay. We spent most of the day chasing some invoices and figuring out where some money can come from. There are quite a few invoices outstanding but as it has been quiet - not quite enough. So I think we might extend the mortgage a bit and clear the decks and start again with better habits. Scary... but I know we will be OK

So the above really led to a firmer decision to get back into TL next year. I had really decided to start around Sept next year but I might get back into it earlier. And actually I am quite excited about it. I am going to be stricter with my time this time too. And cause there are going to be others doing the Launceston meeting that will take the pressure off me. I really dont' want to leave Mia too much so will have to be very careful. And i am determined to make it to forum as well. And if I am going there I have to be skinny!

I got digi scales yesterday and the numbers were a little bit better than i expected. I think I will join the health club at Grindelwald. We were talking about hiring a treadmill but they are sooooooooo exy. So that will be a good interim measure i think.

B was at Judy's today and they went to Hagley Farm School whick it sounds like she enjoyed. I can still remember going there when i was in primary school. When Judy first told her they were going to see animals at the farm, she said "Giraffe's and lions?" She's such a funny kid. Comes out with some really funny stuff. Have to keep telling myself she's only 2. Not sure how we are going to go with another 2 full years before school. I really must book her into playcentre, but I don't want to book all our days up next year. We'll go back into LSC for lessons next year so thats one day out. 2 days of day care and one at life group and thats the week almost.

Well thats it from me

By request...

Got a bit inspired on Saturday and did 2 LO's. That would have to be a record for me. Especially cause I was happy with them!

The Always Happy one is using some Junkitz pp that Shelly sent me. It's such busy paper i had trouble envisaging what to do with them. But I SL'd a LO from a site that had a scrapping idol comp.

The LO of Mia's feet was done on Sunday. The journalling says ""I pray that your feet will allows follow the right path. That they will take you on a journey that is exciting and full of adventure and passion. That they will take you on a path of seeking out truth, bringing peace and love. May all the rocks that fall on your path be small and your way straight. May they always bring you safely home."

I think the inspiration has gone as quick as it come. I want to do a minimalist LO Mia or maybe one of B using the same Junkitz pp... maybe one day.

Been too long - AGAIN

You'd think I would have posted this week before the weekend wouldn't you. Not sure when I posted last so...

S Update
He's now doing really well. Struggling emotionally but letting it out which is good. He woke up Monday and had the tube out. Was just himself according to K. She was so relieved. Tuesday he went to 5A which I was pleased about. We went in a saw him in the afternoon which was far easier that I thought it would be. He was really positive mixed in amongst the other emotions. He as really tired and in a lot of pain which he still is. He did think initally that he would be up a bit more by now but K said last night that it was too hard on his leg yet. I haven't really talked to K much this week - she has been inundated as you'd expect. We will catch up this week for a coffee and decent chat. Their girls are doing OK. He's now been transfered to 5B - hope they treat him well LOL.

Other stuff
mmmmmmm - whats been happening. I scrapped.

Nothing startling, I really wasn't in the mood but really wanted to do something with that pic. Should have waited in hindsight. Oh well. I want to scrap today but again dont' think it would be any good. Have some stuff swirling in my head so maybe that will end up on paper. Actually here would be a good place to put it - 5 quirks - 1. I prefer to wear mens jeans, particularly Jeans West ones. 2. I like the smell of coffee but don't drink it. 3. I stand my toast up together to make a triangle on the plate before i butter it, stops it going soggy. 4.

There must be more LOL. I just don't think i am that odd! I know Jamie would disagree.

Mia's World
Mia is doing well. She's now on 2 meals a day. Only problem she's constipated despite having prunes every day for breakfast. She isn't sitting up yet, and still rolls over occasionally. She is such a happy girl, it is rare for her to be upset unless her sister has hurt her. She is starting to get loud especially when she is tired. Last night she was really squealling. She had a swim today after Bethany's lesson, just loves it. She has slept all night every night this week. To hesitant to hope is permanent but gee it would be nice.

Bethany's World
Bethany has started to get into a bit of mischief. Getting into things when I am out of the room etc.

There is more but it has taken 4 days just to get to this point. So I am going to post it and more later.

Positive Steps

I should have been back to update before this...

S is making great steps to recovery. It's awesome. The medical staff are amazed.

Thursday - he was tf back to LGH which has turned out good. I was a little worried cause I knew K would struggle at home. But the kids have been OK and there are ppl around. And it has allowed a good plan of care for S rather than the indecision before - due to not knowing how long he would have been at NWRH-MD. So in all good. He was quite wakeful Thursday night which was distressing for Kate.

Friday - surgery planned for 1030 but he didn't go til 1 or so. They were able to do more than planned and changed the external fixator to an Ilizarov frame. Docs were very happy with his progress. The plan had been to wake him friday arvo but due to late surgery this didn't happen.

Sat - plan to wake didn't happen as more surgery planned for sunday. Some fleeting signs of infection came and went.

Sun - thats today! So I hope he is in theatre or out and not still waiting.

I am worried about Kate and how it will be for her when he is waking. And then of course about how he will be when he wakes. In time I know they will be OK.

And us - Jamie has been away again for a few days. Girls are good, no dramas. I will need to take B to see EC at some point, she will be glad to see her but... will be interesting I guess.

OK need to go, stuff to do

The Very Good and the Very Very Bad

Well its been a while so whats been happening...

The Good Stuff

We managed to get away to Bridport for 3 nights. It was great. Bethany had a lovely time swimming and playing. A million times every day she asked "is this our house?" We were able to go out for tea the first time in ages, Mia coped well being awake later. She also had her first swim which went down a treat. I have a unit booked for Christmas time while Jamie is away, Mum and Aran will come with us. It will be great buy busy I guess. Its an awesome spot other than a little too far from the beach. But with the pool it is great.

We went to Mum's for tea last night. B, C and T were down from QLD for a holiday so it was good to catch up with them although briefly.

The In the Middle Stuff

Jamie initially decided not to tender for carols. I was pretty surprised. But then he changed his mind - which didn't surprise me but i was disappointed. I so hope he doesn't get it. Makes it such a hard time of year.

The Very Very Bad Stuff

Just as I got home from Mum's JR rang to say that SC had been in a very bad car accident in the afternoon down the coast and was in the NWRH-MD critically injured. So that has been massive. I spoke to KC last night and this morning she asked me to go down there to be with her. So B went to Mum's and Mia came with me. It is amazing he is alive after seeing a pic of the car. I was able to spend a couple of hours with K and also got to see S. He is so badly injured - they have a very long road ahead of them. He has had his R arm amputated below the shoulder, R leg is badly broken in many places, both lungs punctured, liver lacerated... so bad. He is sedated and ventilated. They need to operate more on his leg and K said that his arm is not sewn up properly yet due to all the debris.
I feel really priviledged and honoured to be able to be part of the journey with her today. I hope my being there helped. She is scared, devastated and so much more. Their life has changed so dramatically in an instant. But yet it could have been so much worse, he may not have been here now. I am proud of her how she is coping - I didn't really expect any different though. I am thankful that she wanted me to see him. That is going to be hard for everyone, not just them. Being that he is known all over the state, this is going to have a big impact. WOW. A pic of the car

So I am pretty stuff tonight. The house is a mess but it just doesn't matter.

Need some tea
