Christmas Pics...

On the spur of the moment I took some Christmas pics today. B lasted all of about 4 photos - and then could hardly get her to stay in the lens! Got some good ones though... some nice ones of Mia. Easy when she can't move yet LOL. So here are some... have edited some to b&w.

LO's from this week

This is my scrapping for the week. I have had this MM Cheeky paper for a few weeks and just wanted to do the right thing with it. I had the red LO in mind - its inpired by a LO of Nicole Wright - very very different in the end. I just didn't have the right photo to go with it, until i noticed this one today. Its not even a great photo irl but I love it. The theme "She" was inspired by Rach off EB - she did one of Bella a while back that I really liked. I also cooked the HS plastic letters and used the frame from the plastics - both ideas from KSK DT gallery i think. In the end its my LO and I am actually quite stoked with it. Not keen on the journalling but didn't want tags or to journal around the edge - cause I've done that heaps of late. Love the flower in her hair!
This one I started a few weeks ago and it just wouldn't work. But found it when cleaning out my WIP's folder and thought i'd just do it. And here it is and i think it kinda works. Very busy. I used the new HS date stamp grrrrrrrrr. Say no more here being in public and all that. I have emailed them...
So B's at Mum and Dads for the arvo, after swimming lessons. Found out today that her teacher is not doing it anymore - at that pool anyway. So that confirmed it for next year. Must ring in town and put their names down while I look at other options too. I might try and find someone who would do private lessons with the two of them at once. LSS will cost be $24 anyways so maybe someone would do that if we can find a pool. I think B would benefit from one on one lessons to really get her going well. She has really improved though.
Mia's in bed, Jamie is in Hobart (of course...) and I am here.

Just an update

So what's the goss...?

nothing really! We have just got home from Life Group - at Punchbowl Reserve today. It was good but windy. MC and B only kids there today (other than babies) so that was fun for them to run around, safe there. Ducks weren't hungry though!

Having the vinyl relaid atm, from when I flooded the laundry. Supposed to be here at 1.30 but arrived at 1205 grrr. I had just gone down to move the heavy stuff. I really want to renovate the laundry, probably not worth doing now though - our hot water cylinder really needs doing as well. I'd like a nice tidy space with storage for the extra linen and stuff. One day.

What else?
Jamie is busy with jobs all over the state this weekend. I suppose that is good but I struggle sometimes being by myself, I know my patience wears thin by the end of the day. If I keep the house tidy through the day that helps me feel OK about things.

I think I have done my Christmas shopping other than collecting laybys oh and Jamie's. But thats always a hard thing. We'd like to get a treadmill so now with the money coming through we might do that. I have some of Grandma's money too that we are owed. So might do that and it will be a good incentive to tidy up downstairs. Get all that PA crap out of there. So annoying he takes over everything, still haven't got my garage back. Low on the priority list for him.

Felt like I achieved something this week. Did groceries with both girls for the first time in months, since Mia was out of the capsule I guess. Mia sat in the trolley and B sat in the big attachment red thing. So that was good, an effort getting to the car and upstairs but we did it. Mia was great too. I want her to get used to it, so hopefully she is as good as B has always been.

Scrapped yesterday. Did a LO with lots of pics of B. Using MM Cheeky range which I really like. Have another one to do but having problem deciding on the right pic of her. Have a gorgeous one of Mia to do as well but a bit blocked on what to do with that.

What A Day

Got a phone call this morning at 8.30 to see if it was ok to get the house valued today. I could have said no but why prolong the agony? So I cleaned flat out for 3+ hours only to stop and feed Mia and have my breaky. B was OK for most of it, but towards the end was untidying just as fast. Anyways got it all done - didn't touch downstairs at all. So the bonus is all the housework is done for the week and I can scrap or whatever!

Went cold turkey on Mia's wrapping today - she did so well for her day sleeps. Tonight was going to wrap her but didn't. She went to sleep ok but woke herself up and is now quite unsettled. I have wrapped her but I bet she is out. I will leave her unwrapped and see how she goes. At least if she has a bad night B is at day care tomorrow.

Anyway the reason for this post is to send out a hi to a person who is a good friend of mine. We met through work circumstances and immediately clicked. Anyhoo she is going through a really tough time atm. I know there is nothing I can say to make it better for you, it sucks majorly for a whole stack of reasons. I hope you do find a way to let go, that your heart starts to heal. There is so much to say but in a public place I won't. But we will ALWAYS be friends and I really hope that we can catch up in person soon, I'd love to have you here for more time that it has been in the past. Love you and hang in there...

A Nice Day

We girls had a nice day today. We invited ourselves to Mum's for a roast lunch but she rang to say that the Kerrison's had asked them and us for a BBQ lunch - so thats what we did! Mum took it all for me so I just took us! Mia was her usual quiet happy self and Bethany and Aran played in their lovely safe flat garden. She was great - happy eating junk! Their garden is so nice - great for kids and really made me want to get ours done and finished. At least our fences will be done soonish and so thats a great start. I really should get and plan our garden - cause I could do so much of it myself now the weather is nicer. At least if we got the edges done I could start getting some plants in and growing. I should pull my finger out and get the BBQ area tidied. It might inspire Jamie to do the plans to convert the shed into the cubby house and tidy the outside of the other one. Its kinda exciting - I want my girls to have a nice outdoor area to muck about in. B just loves pottering about - once we get a nice table out there I can sit and scrap and the girls can wander and do their thing.
Anyhoo - so thats my day.
Then church tonight - that was cool. Well behaved kids which helps when you are by yourself. Found out the other B lives down this way too so have to catch up with her. Got Macca's on the way home for B - and we are driving out of there and she says "Thank You Mum" awwwwwwww made me melt. That kid has such good manners most of the time, without being prompted. Makes me so glad. Feel like we have done well on that front.
So anyways home and Mia fed and in bed. B follows not long after but she is still chatting to herself down there. Funny kid - last night she emptied her wardrobe out and was laying in it with the guys and her pillow - it was a helicopter. What? LOL
Mia is still being a quiet sweet thing although she has got voice and is very determined at times. Doesn't want to be wrapped for day sleeps anymore so that is a bit of a drama. Don't think we have much planned this week so might just have to go cold turkey and live with it for a few days.

Thats me for the day - I have some scrapping plans but as the pc is not here can't print or edit photos so they'll have to wait. I think I am going to change formats for a bit and try A4 landscape! Just for a change and i think the inserts will go in my normal albums. Will go cropping wed night and see what happens there i guess! Its all good regardless.

I think I might email LGH DON and see whats around for next year just one day a week and see if I can swing an 8-4 or something somewhere. Like Matt said to me today - they are so desperate they should take me! Who knows. Actually he paid me a nice compliment today. He came down to get the speakers and I said to B did she know that Matt was a nurse. And she told him that "Mummy is a nurse too" and he said "yes and she is a very good nurse too"! Aww how sweet was that, made me feel good. It was something I worked hard at and if it wasn't for our business I would go back to it and possibly change tack a little. I'm not sure how much education would fit into it, or ICU even. I would love ICU if it wasn't shift work. Love the physiology. Kinda miss it... maybe just maybe. You never know.

I should

use my blog to record funny stuff that B says cause I can never remember it. All those funny words - she is a good talker, most words are right but there are the odd one or two. The latest one is "prinkle" or "pinkle" instead of pimple. Its like "piglets" they are what is normally known as vitamins! I think that came from making pikelets one day and then her tablets became piglets. So piglets they are.

Swimming lessons today - she is doing so well the last couple of weeks. I will have to talk to her teacher about next year. I was going to take them both back in to town but if she will include Mia in a lesson and B can swim by herself then it will be OK. It all really rests on what she can do for Mia. But lessons on a Sat is great for us, cause Mum is nearly always around if Jamie isn't.

Jamie is going to Hobart today - big gig on Parliament House lawns tomorrow for him. Starting to get busy now - at least HCC carols are off the agenda now, should make Christmas more enjoyable. Less stress and hopefully he'll be more organised this time. Time will tell LOL and it would be a miracle.

LOL B and Jamie are sitting out in the playroom having breakfast - she just did This Little Piggy to him - I didn't realise she knew it all!

Some scrapping...

well its been a while since i posted my last LO's - lol can't even remember! So might be a double up on some. Come to think of it all the pics are by Yvonne! Clever chick she is! I have been doing some otp stuff - a pressie for HR and some chrissie pressies to send away. Also some mint tins for a few different things.







That Bethany is a funny kid. She talks sooooooooo well cause she practices sooooooooooooo much LOL. We went in to town tonight with Jamie - he had a few speakers and stuff to drop off here there and everywhere. I seriously don't think she shut her mouth once. Sometimes its useful conversation but often its blah blah blah. Just like her Dad sometimes its made up stuff - they both like the sound of their voices! Mia didn't cope so well to start with - she was so tired. But she hung in there and was still asleep when we got home. She's kinda at the point of sleeping unwrapped - being houdini and escaping but then taking ages to settle. For the life of me I can't remember what I did with B. I should have ordered Mia's summer grobag AGES ago - but haven't and only did it today. So we will have to try and put up with a winter one.

Yeah Yeah I Know...

I haven't added any scrapping for a while. Can't even remember what i last added LOL. Won't do it with this post either - I'll do a dedicated one for piccies later.

So to update my life...

Scrapping - have been doing a little bit here and there. Went to a crop night at KSK last night which i really enjoyed - good bunch of ppl. Good 80's music to groove too as well :) I took along a few OTP WIP's to get done. I finished HR's birthday presents (pic after the day lol) as well as 2 tins to go to Dizzy for the Miracle Babies (they are a bit dodgy sorry Dizzy but made with love ;) ) as well as getting inspired for the basic embellishment of some Chrismas boxes I have made. Pic will come later of them too after they are posted. Did a LO for an EB cyber crop - pretty happy with the result. Want to get on a do a LO or two using the new MM pp. Have finished the CD for Bethany's birthday invites. Cropped a great piccy - have to scrap it too.

Life - well in general quite good. Money issues ongoing but steps to resolve in place. We'll be able to do the few things we need around the house as well as pay off the big supplier bills that have got behind. Just got a lot of jobs with the FG which is good - cause that is why it has been so lean of late, along with TUU and the change in union fees. Tis always OK though, we have talked more about our long term dream for TSC and it is basically for both of us to become more hands off - me totally and Jamie more on the quoting side.

Girls - they are good. Mia is sitting. She went in a shopping trolley for the first time today at the Vegie Shed and just loved it - was so amazed at everything LOL. We went to Kmart and took back her toy thingo that is recalled. Can't remember what I paid for it but it scanned and $80 and they gave me $90 for it. I kind think I either paid $99 or $79 so either way no biggie. Got Mia the FP LP plane that i have wanted. Also finally got B's birthday and Christmas pressies sorted last week and finally happy with it all. Will keep the LMax for birthay number 4 as I think she is probably still too young. Just need to find a bike now. Mia - not so sure. I will give her what we have now for Christmas and sort birthday later I guess. Far too many toys but what can you do? Its not like we buy big toys through the year.

Me - I'm OK. Life is OK. Just want to shift this weight but my eating is not going to make that happen atm. Having fun with regular online chats - most nights. As far as working next year... that is more up in the air now. Can't say why here but its a bummer. Am looking into other options... you never know.

Once again...

yep too long but thats life.

So whats been going on... just the usual I guess. I have had most days out for a few weeks now which is starting to get a bit annoying. I don't get anything done when i am at home anyway so i guess it shouldn't matter.

This morning we had morning tea with JE at Tranquility Gardens which was really nice - it is good there for kids. A pet lamb, cat and rabbit so good for B. Good to catch up with J - don't see enough of her these days.

We've had the very back lawn flattened and sown with grass - it is going to be great for the girls but will be full with the swings and then the tramp next year. I so can't wait to get the tramp for them - i would love to get it this year but i know that the swings will be great for both of them while only B will really get the next year out of the tramp.

Mia is not longer wanting to lie on her back - always rolling over but then gets mad on her tummy. I remember this frustrating time with B before she started crawling. Mia's a long way off crawling too.

Anyways she's grumpy now so better go
